Questions about the work
Why are there no before-and-after photos?
Because we do not have honest ones yet, and staged pairs are easy to fake. Every frame here was shot while the work was happening, which tells you more about how a car is handled. As finished cars leave the shop we are photographing them, and that work will be added to this page.
Which film brands are in these photos?
We install STEK Automotive, SunTek and 3M. Which film goes on a given car depends on the vehicle, the coverage and the finish you want, and we confirm the exact film in writing before work begins. We do not swap in something else once the car is in the bay.
Is the front-window tint shown here legal in California?
Front side windows are the strict ones. CVC 26708(d) requires the material to have "a minimum visible light transmittance of 88 percent" and to meet FMVSS 205 including "the specified minimum light transmittance of 70 percent", which is two thresholds rather than one. Rear side windows and the rear window have no darkness limit if the car has both side mirrors. This is a summary, not legal advice.
What about the strip across the top of a windshield?
There is no "four inch strip" in the vehicle code, however often it gets repeated. CVC 26708(c) sets the line by height: "The bottom edge of the material is at least 29 inches above the undepressed driver's seat when measured from a point five inches in front of the bottom of the backrest with the driver's seat in its rearmost and lowermost position." We measure it on your car rather than guess.
Do you do ceramic coating yet?
Not yet. It is planned after the current training at Ding King Technical Institute finishes around October 2026, and until then we will not take money for it. Today we offer paint protection film, window tint, vinyl and color change, chrome delete, lighting film, windshield protection film and a basic wash.
